Samantha and Ben

So I shot my first wedding this weekend and I have to say it went really well! I have tons more editing to do but here is a sneak peek of what I have so far. Thank you Sam and Ben! I really appreciate you putting your trust in me on your big day! I hope you enjoy the memories I was able to capture! I'll be updating more soon.....

Samantha

My co-worker Sam asked me if I would be willing to do her wedding photos. I was definitely apprehensive because I have never even done anything close to that! Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime experience and there is a lot of pressure on a photographer to get the shots. I decided that it would be best to start off with a mini shoot, just to see if she liked the outcome. Here are a few of my favs!

Confederate Home Wedding Charleston, SC

Here are a few shots of a wedding that I helped set up with Social Event Design, a wedding and event planning company owned by my BFF Sarah Bradley. It was a small intimate affair with a touch of romance and Charleston charm. I had a blast! Thank you Sarah for the opportunity!

The drawing room before we worked our magic!

and after!

We also arranged all the flowers! Sarah chose the perfect combination of flowers and greenery to bring southern charm and romance to the table.

Pretty common things

Sometimes I'll see an opportunity to capture the beauty of something that I would normally overlook. The light will hit something in just the right way that I stop, run and get my camera and take a picture because I know it will be gone in a few moments. I love these little sparks of beauty in my day to day and am appreciative of how I gain a new perspective on this world we live in. Here's a few examples.....

A cappuccino I made one morning.

Water falling in the kitchen sink.

A leaf that was "floating" outside our patio door. If you look closely you can see the spider web its hanging from.

Beauty surrounds us at every turn.....you just have to stop and look.
